Meet Chef Matthew Pressler

 

Chef Matt was the Executive Chef at Matador restaurant in Wayne, PA. He designed and crafted the seasonal menus and recipes, including the dessert menu. All desserts are made in-house from scratch.

One of those desserts became very popular: the fresh Key Lime Pie! After much experimentation, Chef Matt perfected his recipe by balancing the tartness and sweetness of the filling, and pairing it perfectly with the hand pressed graham crust. The pies are all-natural, with no preservatives, and no artificial colors or flavoring. Each pie is handmade by Chef Matt using fresh-squeezed key lime juice.

Customers would call the restaurant to inquire about the Key Lime Pie and check to make sure it was in stock before they made their reservations. Due to the dessert’s popularity, Chef Matt and his family decided to take their sought after pie to the Jersey Shore Farmers’ Markets in Ocean City, New Jersey and Brigantine, New Jersey.  The pie has become a staple of the markets and the Jersey Shore!

Chef Matt, his wife Anna, and their two sons, Matt and Luke, are all key members of the Chef’s Key Lime Pie team, and play an important roll in the production and sale of the Key Lime Pies for the markets.
